Our Mission

At The Fourth Space, our mission is to expand beyond the limitations of traditional "third space" concepts, creating a sanctuary that centers the human emotional, physical, and spiritual experience as a powerful tool for healing and transformation. We believe that by nurturing deeper connections to ourselves, our purpose, and each other, we lay the groundwork for meaningful personal growth and collective liberation.

Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we empower individuals, couples, and families to heal from within and inspire change in their communities. Our practice is rooted in inclusivity, authenticity, and a commitment to fostering both personal and collective well-being.

What We Offer

At The 4th Space, we offer a range of supports designed to meet you where you are—whether you’re seeking personal healing, relationship growth, or community connection. All of our services are guided by trauma-informed care, inclusivity, and a focus on emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Individual Therapy

Virtual and In-Person for Ontario Residents

Individual Therapy is a collaborative and supportive process tailored to your unique needs. Whether you're navigating trauma, exploring your identity, or seeking clarity and purpose, this one-on-one space is designed for deep healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Peer Support

In-Person for Ontario Residents & Virtual for All

Peer Support sessions offer a 1:1 supportive call for reflection, brainstorming, and processing. These gentle, nonjudgmental sessions are not therapy or medical interventions; they are guided by restorative practices and an educationally intuitive lens.

Restorative Mediation

In-Person for Ontario Residents & Virtual for All

Restorative Mediation is available for loved ones, family members, friends, collaborators, and community members looking for immediate intervention and resolution around a specific conflict. Rooted in restorative and decolonial practices, we utilize a compassionate and safe space to address challenges, facilitate understanding, and work towards reconciliation or compassionate separation.

Couples Therapy

Virtual and In-Person for Ontario Residents

Couples Therapy helps identify patterns that cause conflict or disconnection, uncover what drives these dynamics, and develop healthier ways of relating. Through this process, we aim to help you feel closer, deepen intimacy, and cultivate more fulfillment and connection in your relationship.

Family Therapy

Virtual and In-Person for Ontario Residents

Family Therapy sessions provide a guided space for families to develop a deeper understanding of relational dynamics, history, and patterns. Through collectively processing past wounds, conflict patterns, and transitions, we work to strengthen connections and fulfillment within the familial unit.

Community Building

Format Varies

The 4th Space extends beyond therapy to include opportunities for connection and collective healing. Our community events are thoughtfully designed to bring people together in exploration, reflection, and mutual support. Whether through workshops, collaborations, or creative gatherings, these spaces aim to empower, inspire, and nurture a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

The 4th Space operates on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Toronto, or Tkaronto, is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We acknowledge that this land is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and is part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between Indigenous nations to share and care for the land, its waters, and its resources in harmony.

At The 4th Space, we reflect on what it means to inhabit this land and commit to engaging in practices that honour its original stewards. We strive to learn, unlearn, and take actionable steps toward reconciliation while remaining mindful of the ongoing impacts of colonization. This acknowledgment is just one small part of our larger responsibility to support healing, justice, and equity in the communities we serve.
